Make a Difference. Become a volunteer tutor! The Alameda County Library Write to Read Adult Literacy program has several opportunities for interested volunteers to help adult learners improve their reading, writing and comprehension skills. Volunteer Application Form
Make a difference by leading a small group or providing individual tutoring at the Newark, Fremont, Union City, San Lorenzo, Castro Valley and Dublin branch libraries. Tutors are English speakers, 18 and older, no degrees necessary. If you have a couple of hours per week and are patient and enjoy helping others take positive steps with their reading and writing, this is the volunteer job for you.
