Write to Read Adult Literacy Program’s summer session starts on June 17.
Reading Clubs registration starts on June 3.
This summer there will be five reading clubs in Fremont and one reading club at the following Alameda County Library branches: Newark, Castro Valley, San Lorenzo, and Albany.
Please call (510) 745-1480 to sign-up for a Reading Club group. A class schedule will be mailed by May 27. If you would like to have a schedule mailed to you, call us to be placed on the mailing list.
Learners must register for a class to reserve a spot. If classes are full, you will be placed in a waiting list. You must complete an assessment to attend a Reading Club. Please call to sign-up. Staff will call you back to confirm your registration if you leave a clear voice message.
The Fremont Computer Skills Lab will stay open until August 14. Write to Read students are welcomed to sign-up for the lab to learn basic computer skills, email, Internet searches and lots of great online library resources (ESL, computer skills, test preparation, Universal Class, language learning, and much more).
The Job Seeking classes at the Eden Area One Stop Career Center in Hayward and at the Ashland Community Center, and the Job Seeking class for beginning ESL learners at the Ashland Community Center will continue until August 29th.
