Adult Literacy Services is offering a FREE special Citizenship Preparation class for U.S. residents. This six-week class will cover U.S. civics, history, government, English skills and naturalization test preparation. This class doesn’t include N-400 form completion nor application filing assistance.

ORIENTATION MEETING held on Tuesday, August 25 from 6 – 7:30 PM. van Doorn Room, Fremont Main Library.

(Attendance at the Orientation Meeting is REQUIRED TO ENROLL.)

Intermediate level English is required.

Two Civics class sections will be offered:

  • Tuesdays, September 1 – October 6
  • Tuesday, October 20 – November 24

The Adult Literacy Services Reading Clubs will start on Monday September 21.

Registration for Reading Clubs starts on Tuesday, September 8. Call to register.


All Reading Club groups are first come, first served. You must register every session. If the reading club is full, you’ll be placed in a waiting list.

Watch for a Reading Club schedule in the mail in the next two weeks.
